Family tradition is more important than food at Barbaro Butcher. Began in 1987 by opening a small butcher shop in Greenwood because of their father, Vincenzo’s immense love for quality meat. Since then our passion for genuine premium cuts and authentic beef has stayed the same. We are happy to share our 10 most mouth-watering quick beef dinner recipes with you.
- Sizzling Beef Stirfry
You should start Sizzling Beef Stirfry by marinating the beef strips in sesame oil, sherry, soy sauce, chilli sauce, garlic, and Chinese five-spice powder for 30 minutes. Add oil to a wok and set it on high heat. Remove the beef from the marinade and stir-fry for 3 minutes so it becomes browned. Take the beef out of the pan and set it aside. After that, spring onions, chilli, and mushrooms should be added to the pan and stir-fried for 4 minutes. Put the beef back in the pan, add the leftover marinade, and cook until sizzling hot for another 2 minutes. Serve your dish of beef over rice or noodles once it is done.
- Garlic Beef Kebabs
Let the beef sit in garlic, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, sugar, curry, and chilli powder for at least 4 hours. Cook the veggies on the skewer over medium-high heat before turning them occasionally for 10–15 minutes. I like to eat this dish with a side of hot rice, pita, or some salad and a dip made of garlic and yoghurt. With the charred outside and tasty inner meat, kebabs are one of the great simple beef dinner ideas.
- Beef Brisket
Rub the brisket all over with Cajun seasoning, then pour some maple syrup for an extra smoky taste. Put the meat onto a roasting tray, cover it fully with foil, and get it ready for slow-cooking. Now, set your oven to 170 degrees Celsius; leave the brisket inside for nearly three and a half hours to cook gently. This slow-cooking step helps the meat turn soft and lets all those flavours stay nice and strong. When it’s finished, just leave the brisket on the counter for 15 – 20 minutes before slicing it the opposite way of the grain. You should pair the juicy slices with creamy potato salad and some tangy coleslaw, so the richness feels balanced.
- Beef Fillet Steak
Season the fillet steaks on all sides with salt, black pepper, and a little olive oil for extra flavour. Wait for the skillet to heat up to a high temperature, almost to the point of smoking, before you place the steaks in for that perfect sear. Cook each steak for 3 – 5 minutes per side; this way, you get that good brown crust outside, but the inside stays juicy. When the steaks are done, take them away from the pan and let them sit for almost 5 minutes, so their juices move inside the meat again. Add roasted carrots and some sautéed spinach to the plate, then spoon over bright pesto sauce for a lovely colour and great taste. Making it is very easy if you love beef recipes under 30 minutes.
- Beef Hamburgers
Add minced beef to chopped garlic, onion, Worcestershire sauce and salt and pepper. Mix well. Divide the mixture into patties of the same size and not too dense or too loose. Add oil and cook on medium-high flame for 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked. Place patties on bottom halves of toasted buns, add crisp lettuce, sliced tomatoes, cheese of your choice and toppings of your choice. Serve with fries or salad to make it classic and filling.
- Satay Beef Stirfry
Start out by slicing the meat of the beef very thin, then pan fry it quickly with chopped garlic, diced onion and a mix of veggies like bell peppers and carrots. Mix together peanut butter, soy sauce, coconut milk, fresh lime juice and a little honey to get the taste you like. After which, add the home made satay sauce into the pan, also do not forget to stir everything up, we want those meats and veggies well coated in flavour. Let the sauce reduce for a few minutes until it thickens, then plate it up and put it over hot, just prepared rice. For the finish, put on some crushed peanuts and coriander leaves.
- Mongolian Beef Stirfry
Use soy sauce, corn starch and Shaoxing wine to marinate the beef slices. Heat oil in a wok, add the beef and stir until brown. Remove the meat and set aside while you add and stir-fry the other ingredients. Add hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, sugar and a little cooking wine (except for the vegetables) and let the sauce thicken. Add the beef back in and stir-fry until brown and caramelised. Serve with steamed rice and top with a few sesame seeds.
- Mogumber Valley Beef Girello
To really let the flavours do their magic, you want to soak your meat for 12 to 14 hours in a blend of olive oil, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard for some bite, balsamic vinegar and soy sauce for depth, sugar and a dash of onion powder with black pepper. Don’t forget to add thyme and rosemary. Switch your oven up close to 250°C. Spread the marinated meat on a roasting tray, drizzle more oil over it and cook away for about 20 minutes. Next move: drop that oven heat down to exactly 180°C so nothing gets burnt or undercooked; keep roasting another 35–40 minutes until your trusty thermometer tells you the inside hits precisely 44°C. Finally comes everyone’s favourite part: yank out that bread from the hot box, wrap it gently in foil and let everything rest undisturbed between twenty to thirty minutes before serving. It’s one of the best 30-minute beef meals for sure.
- Crumbed Beef Sausages
Cook the beef sausages for 5 minutes, let them cool down, and then slice them. Cover the dip slices in flour, then beaten egg, and sprinkle them with breadcrumbs that are seasoned. Fry the ingredients so they become golden and crispy. Drain the burgers and serve them on a plate with mashed potatoes, coleslaw, or a sauce, for example, mustard or garlic aioli. This dish works great as a snack for parties or as quick family beef dinners with some fresh greens.
- Beef Mince
Put chopped onion and garlic in oil, add the ground beef, and cook until it turns brown. Sprinkle salt, pepper, paprika, and add a little Worcestershire sauce on the protein. Put carrots, capsicum, tomatoes, and some stock or water into the dish and stir them all together. Allow the mixture to simmer for a total of 20 minutes and stir it from time to time. Place your finished food on herbs before serving. Use beef in your rice, toss it in a pasta dish, stuff it into a taco, or put it in a pie to make a filling meal.
